It was just over a month ago that I committed myself to get some of my strength back. Throughout my strength career I suffered 2 ruptured disks, 2 bulging disks, a fractured vertebrae, a torn quad, torn pec, torn triceps, and two torn biceps. I took 18 months off from heavy lifting because I was tired of being in pain. Last month I started pushing myself a little bit and could deadlift barely in the 600s. Today I pulled a tough 745 lbs with a poundstone hitch. Im still a long way off but I cant complain with the huge jumps in my strength. Im lifting for myself now, no competitions, no big goal, just the enjoyment of the pursuit of strength.
