It was on this day 39 years ago in 1975 that The Rolling Stones played a sold out show at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California. This was the first Stones tour with new replacement guitarist Ron Wood, after Mick Taylor had left the band. The announcement of this US tour became famous in itself when the band ignored reporters at a May 1st press conference and instead, drove down Broadway in New York City, playing Brown Sugar on the back of a flatbed truck.
