It was only a matter of days before the transfer students would begin trickling into the faction and compete to secure a place in Dauntless. Frankly, he was grateful that his occupation allowed him to avoid the sixteen year olds as much as humanly possible. It was deemed necessary, the initiation rite. Not everyone was Dauntless material and the weak needed to be weeded from their ranks. At least, thats what he told himself. Hed modestly preformed when hed transferred in from Candor two years prior but it wasnt without a lack of casualties. His best friend had followed him here. The two had grown up together as thick as thieves but he hadnt been emotionally prepared for the changes he was inevitably expected to face. Who knew where he was now... Noah had searched to the extent he could but there was little he could do. Hed passed initiation and Christopher had failed. His mouth twisted into a faint frown as he stared into the ice blue eyes of his exhausted complexion, in the small oval bathroom mirror. It would be over soon enough and then hed be capable of suppressing the less than pleasant memories he was forced to relive every year.
