It was truly victory at sea this morning when Yuta Tsuboi of New York, NY completed his Catalina Channel crossing in the unofficial time of 11:32.24. Yuta and crew experienced very rough seas during the crossing to Catalina Island, and Captain Greg Elliott said it was the roughest conditions he had ever seen travelling from the Mainland to Doctors Cove. Yuta continued to experience heavy swell and chop during the first third of his swim, but both he and crew prevailed, and his crew reported a strong finish!
