It was very well-known that Valentine was of no man that held importance to sentiment. Perhaps he had much in vengence, hatred, ruthlessness; anyone would laugh if one were to say he was devoted to the sentiment of love, without knowing how wrong they are. If there was one person he Valentine loved most in the world, she would be his mother, Seraphina. The knob turns as a 17-year old Valentine returned from Shadowhunting school, greeted by the sight of his mother sitting in the lounge of the manor. Their days had been dull and sad since the death of his father, but no matter the attention and popularity in school he achieve, Valentine always had time for his mother. Mother, how are you? He gave her his usual, cliche greeting.
