It would seem other developers are following in the footsteps of FESTO when it comes to robotics that are almost life-like to certain species of the animal kingdom. Sure it may seem fun to have a remote controlled or fully automated robotic animal but consider what ramifications it could have when the military is involved. Some of the funding for the Robo Raven was provided by the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, which is investigating the Robo Raven’s possible uses for surveillance and other missions." Remember that part of the ideology of Tranhumanism or Singularity is a world of equal parts Human and Machine but with the machines handling almost the entire labor force. This way Humans can spend more time lost in Virtual Reality and the Cyber-Matrix of Brain-Machine Interface. If a person was in this state of mind then the military and government can run rampant with devices like the one featured here.
