Its 12:21 a.m. in Washington DC and I just got into my room. When I was younger, I thought how unnatural flying was, seeing big plans flying around in the sky, its just not normal. Anyway, August 5-6 is Tribal TANF Leadership Symposium. The Office of Family Assistance (OFA), Division of Tribal TANF Management will bring tougher Tribal TANF Leaders and Tribal Council members Nation wide. Some of the workshops topics: ^Listening Session with Administration for Children and Families Leadership ^Focus Groups/Peer to Peer Sharing ^Data and Program Evaluation ^Emergency Preparedness ^Homelessness ^Child Welfare and TANF Collaborations ^Home Visiting Programs ^Creating Work Opportunities/Subsidized Employment We will have an opportunity to hear from peers who are navigating similar issues and challenges as we work to meet the needs of those being served in Indian Country. With all the devastation back home, I hope and pray I can focus and friends and families are well.
