Its 6 weeks until the official start of the Take a Chance Spark Team. Since people are already joining I thought I would post an optional game a week as a count down. Were starting off with Chase a Lunge Whip which is a great way to start teaching a dog to tug. Tugging is a great training tool and can build more excitement for high energy games like agility and flyball. Some dogs are natural at tugging but others need some encouragement and often dogs need more distance from people and faster movement then traditional tug toys allow which makes the lunge whip a great introduction. Neither dog had played this game before, but both really liked it. One more thing since the sound isnt great. Im trading the dogs cheese for the toy. I dont want to get into a fight with them over the toy or make it about obedience when they are learning to love a new game.
