Its Andy Warhols birthday. I recall fondly my days working for him at The Factory and at Interview. They were such innocent days now that I look back on them. Even sweet. I certainly adored - and still do - so many of the people I worked with there and bonded with. When I walk around my apartment I have daily reminders of Andy and his kindness toward me. He gave me this photo one morning that he had taken in Central Park - thats his name embossed in the lower corner. The framed cover of the Ronald Firbank book was illustrated by Andrew Warhol, which was the name he used for the credit on the books flap when he was a young man getting his start in New York, even though he signed Andy all over it . And a print of one of his Marilyns reigns over my small living room. Hes nowhere anymore and yet in my apartment - and in the world at large on so many levels - hes still everywhere.
