If you want to adopt Domino please call the Humane Society of Marion County at (352) 873-PETS Sometime within the past week someone entered a vacant home in the 6700 block of N.E. 5th Place by unknown means and stole ceiling fans, light fixtures, water softener and faucets valued at $585 A vehicle parked at a home in the 7500 block of N.E. 4th Court was entered and someone stole a wallet and its contents valued at $7.00. The driver’s side window was left open enough for someone to reach in and unlock the doors due to the window being broken. Someone stole a window air conditioner unit valued at $300.00 from a home in the 7100 block of S.W. 156 Place, in Dunnellon. A Portable Air Conditioner was stolen from a home in the 13,000 block of S.E. Sunset Harbor Road, in Weirsdale. Total loss was $690 Deputies responded to the 4400 block of N.W. 22nd Avenue reference a black male and black female kicking in the front door to the home. The victim advised she heard someone outside, when the front door flew open. The suspects were screaming; “where is the weed and the money” and insinuated they had a gun. They searched the home before leaving. According to the homeowner, there is approximately $100.00 worth of marijuana missing. The investigation is ongoing.
