Its Dementia Awareness Week, 19th – 24th May, and we are delighted to be supporting Alzheimers Society and the campaign to raise awareness of Dementia throughout the UK. This year we are marking the week with a series of blogs written by our staff giving their personal perspectives on work they are involved with at the Foundation supporting people living with dementia. The Foundation has a long history of using its research and evidence-based approach to inform better policy and develop practical solutions to improve support and services for individuals with Dementia, their family and carers. Our work has a strong emphasis on self-management and self-directed support to help individuals take back more control over their lives.
