Its HERE! You can finally sample the four beers our Take 16 Brewery here in downtown Luverne has been busily crafting, testing, and brewing. This Thursday, at The Bluestem ~ from 4:00 PM til close ~ you can try all four during a special event. Kick the Can ~ The hottest beer the past few years has been the IPA (India Pale Ale), a beer noted for having more hops added during brewing. If youre a fan of Goose Island, or Sam Adams Rebel IPA, be sure to try Kick the Can. Country Mile ~ labeled by Take 16 as a Kolsch-style beer, or as we Americans call it, a golden ale. Probably more like the most popular brand name beers last most of us order at the bars. Hayloft ~ their wheat ale entry, flavored with cloves, banana, and bread. A fan of Blue Moon, or St. Pauls Boulevard? This ones right up your alley. Stormy Jack ~ their stout. You know, the dark beer. First one that comes to mind is Guinness. Either a fan or not. In this case, its labeled as an Irish Dry Stout. Take 16 says if youre a coffee drinker, youll love their Stormy Jack. Of course, each beer has is own unique taste. You may think a stout beer is not for you, then take of sip of Stormy Jack, and never go back. Im gonna sample all four (for the sake of journalism of course!) and see if one becomes my new favorite.
