Its Hot,Hot,Hot here in Gran Canaria but thats how I like it. However this trip is not about soaking up the sun, sea and sand, Im here for a much more practical reason - helping with Colin ONeill & Melissa Cloughs house move. Dont get me wrong though, I shall be partaking of some of the Gran Canarian sunshine and will make the most of what will likely be my last visit to this island which Ive been visiting at least annually for the best part of 10 years. Over 10 yrs ago Colin moved here followed a few months later by our first visit. A couple of years later, a short spell for him in Ireland meant our holidays became a little cooler & damper but still we loved visiting. In time the lure of this island was too much and so Colin returned. But time moves on and now Colin and Mili are heading to Blighty, to Lincoln, and I think it is unlikely Drew & I will be back to GC. Its going to be wonderful having them live closer, Im really looking forward to that. While Mili & I finish up here in GC and prepare to fly back on Wednesday, Drew, Colin, Sonnie, Dexter & Kim are taking the long road, by sea and road.
