Its Light Night Leeds Day! Take a look at whats on at Carriageworks Theatre Improvised Music Night Fusebox Main Auditorium 5pm – 10pm Come and listen to the sounds of the Leeds improvising community with the chance to conduct the band yourself. Manipulate, gesticulate and pull faces at them, or otherwise coerce them into playing the music you want to hear! The musicians will be performing in various constellations, with audience conducted big band sessions on the hour every hour. Capture Levantes Dance Theatre Upstairs@TheCarriageworks 5pm – 10pm Award winning Levantes Dance Theatre are known for combining beautiful creative costumes and designs with intimate experiences. Forever fascinated by the varying ways people consume creative work, Levantes will focus on experience in its most authentic, surprising and personal way. For Light Night, Levantes will create a one on one performance for audience members. Lindy Hop taster class Lindy Fridays Room 1 8pm - 9:45pm Join in with Carriageworks Theatres regular Friday night Lindy Hoppers. 10 min taster sessions will let beginners learn a few moves and experienced hoppers show off a bit. Come on your own or bring a partner with you. Stella Grundy pop up performances Level 2 bar various times (watch our twitter on the night!) Stella Grundy, 90s rocker and star of the upcoming Rise and Fall of a Northern Star at Carriageworks Theatre will be previewing some of her material. Family Activities Carriageworks Theatre Level 2 bar 5pm - 9pm Join members of the Carriageworks team for a bit of a sit-down and warm-up while your little ones create some arts and crafts projects for you.
