Its May 10th, Asian Pacific American Mental Health Day. Its an unfortunate fact that Asian Americans are the most bullied ethnic group and that we have a higher than normal suicide rate. I encounter a lot of Asian men who are afflicted with bouts of depression, loneliness, and anxiety in my line of work. Theyre a lot like me when I was younger: insecure, lost and not knowing whom to turn to for help. Nowadays Im a confidence coach and a damn good one, but only after I worked on myself for years with a lot of blood, sweat and tears. But Im not a mental health professional and it took the help of others to get me to where I am today.
