Its No Gender December. Is that: a) a time to consider the gender stereotyping of toys and how it restricts children’s creativity and development or b) political correctness that gets in the way of letting boys be boys, letting girls be girls”? Well, weve got a problem with (b). Because letting children “be” boys or girls implies that there is a natural set of likes and dislikes for each gender that are unaffected by the culture in which we live.
