Its Really All About Him!! Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. -Psalm 105:4 (NIV) Look to the Lord - How often do we truly look to the Lord? When we get up in the morning do we look to the Lord? What about when we are out on the highways of the cities and towns we live in? When someone treats us well do we look to the Lord? In all things we need to look to the Lord. During good times and bad times we need to look to the Lord and recognize His sovereignty. Look to the Lord and His strength. - Recently, while I was volunteering at a meal, my coat was stolen. When I first discovered that it was gone I was very angry. I wanted to find the person who stole it and hurt them. I wanted my coat back and I wanted the person who took it to pay a penalty for his actions. After a while I began to realize that I was thinking and behaving irrationally. I needed, first, to remember that God is all powerful. God has the ability to get me through this situation with or without getting my coat back. I needed to recognize and remember His strength. His strength is what matters most, for His power trumps everything else that we have to deal with in this life. Seek His face - How often do we really seek Gods face? How often do we focus on Him and His sovereignty? Even when we are singing songs during the worship time at church, are we seeking His face or are we trying to impress the person next to us with our voice? Or maybe we are thinking about what we are going to have for lunch. We need to seek His face. We need to draw near to the Lord. Seek His face always. - It can make sense to seek Gods face during church services or during our daily devotions, but what about the rest of the day? We need to always be seeking Gods face. At church, lets seek Gods face. During our devotions and while we are praying with each other during the week, lets seek His face. But lets go even further: lets seek the face of God every moment of the day. If we are washing dishes or making a bed lets seek Gods face. When we are driving down the street, lets seek Gods face. When someone has wronged us or disrespected us, lets seek Gods face. When our loved ones have passed away, lets seek Gods face. When we are unemployed, lets seek Gods face. When we have money to spend lets seek Gods face. When we are on vacation, lets seek Gods face, and when we wake up in the morning, lets seek Gods face. In good times and bad, we need to seek Gods face. Whether we are hungry or full. When we are tired or rested, when we are rich or poor, whether it is night or day, we need to seek Gods face during every minute of the day. Seek Gods face in very decision you make, whether it is big or small. Seek Gods face always. } Loved By God {
