Its Super Staff Sunday and today we are thrilled to honor Alisha Kinman - who actually holds 2 jobs at the Hipp - as both the Hippodrome Cinema Director and the Director of Development. Alisha rocks both departments with an unprecedented humor and diligence. She is the master-mind behind the Hipp Cinemas recent successes with Spice World Flashback Night, Cocktails and Classics (dont miss Alfred Hitchcocks Rear Window on the big screen this November), and our recent series of 6 SOLD OUT screenings of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Her cinema programming has created new audiences and bolstered Gainesvilles favorite art-house cinema with record-breaking attendance numbers. She drove the fundraising campaign to obtain the Hipps Digital Projector, a project that was recognized in the Wall Street Journal and for which the Hipp received 3 FPRA statewide awards. Alisha works with many community organizations including the Gainesville Jewish Film Festival, the Harn Museum, the Pride Community Center, and the Gainesville Latino Film Festival, where she recently was awarded the Spreading the Light of Latino Culture for the Hipp. Alisha also works with our sponsors and donors, and helped create the new Hippodrome membership program and more than 500 people have become Hipp Members since February. Some little known facts about Alisha: she loves her King Cavalier Spaniel, hot tea, karaoke, she is a member of the Florida Public Relations Association, and Gainesvilles Junior League.
