Its a beautifully sunny day here in Willoughby -- Im guessing it is in Elmore as well? But at a balmy 10 degrees, I guess I wont be going out in shorts, t-shirts and sandals anytime soon. Well, at least not until Tuesday. We leave Monday for Phoenix, AZ and then on to Green Valley for our 4th Annual Immigration Immersion. I hadnt planned on this being an annual event when I first went to visit with Ackleys several years ago in their new home in Arizona -- but then he introduced me to Randy Mayer and the Good Shepherd UCC and I was inspired to come back the next year for a week to fully experience the border issues. In sharing upon my return, others wanted to go the next year. Well, ok -- so we did. And then others wanted to come the next year. Ummm -- welllll -- ok. And here we are -- a new association, a new ministry, and another Immigration Immersion about to start. I guess this will be a yearly adventure so stay tuned -- Laurene, the Administrative Assistant at St. Johns, has graciously agreed to send MMMM updates as I send them to her through the week -- and Ill post them here as well. That way, if anyone wants to join us on our 5th Annual Immigration Immersion youll know what we do. Enjoy the sun and Ill be in touch.
