Its a good day when you know all family members who are travelling have returned back to their homes in safety. Both Kristens and Jefferys families left yesterday afternoon after grandmas funeral. Kristen arrived in Santaquin and her trip was, thankfully, uneventful. Jeff, on the other hand, was travelling via a rented Cessna 182 and his home is over the Colorado Rockies. Needless to say, my anxiety level was on high alert. They spent the night in Montrose, Colorado so he could fly over the pass in daylight. This morning they waited for fog to lift off off the runway before beginning the remainder of their journey home. With an expected storm brewing he chose the safer route and flew via Cortez, Durango, over the pass to Pueblo on to Colorado Springs and then landed safely at the Centennial Airport. Jeff is a smart pilot and Im grateful he always thinks about the safety of his sweet family. Its nice that that I get to enjoy my Ed for a few more days before he returns to Wash. DC. I sure love my family. They are my World.
