Its a good thing our mouths heal quickly. Saturday dinner menu...grilled cheese on whole grain bread, orange bell pepper slices, corn and tongue...as in my tongue. =P (ouch) It was the worst bite I have ever seen and left a black/purple spot the size of the end of my little finger on it. (No I didnt take a picture) How I got my tongue between my molars like that is beyond me. It was a full force bite down that sent me reeling in pain and running to the bathroom. For a moment I thought I might have to go in to have it stitched up there was so much blood. Thankfully that stopped after a few minutes and after I rinsed it several times with warm salt water to clean it. And thankfully it numbed a little too so I could finish my dinner. (Boy am I thankful at how our bodies do that when we get injured like that.) Later that night it started aching and once I raked my teeth over it accidentally (YEOUCH). I tried eating a bite of Tootsie Roll later that night...a bad idea. I couldnt wait to get it out of my mouth it hurt like the dickens. Anyhow...in a day or two I wont be able to feel it at all. Have you ever bitten your tongue really hard like that?
