Its a miracle! Graycie kitty, who ran out of the house when paramedics propped open the door 4 weeks ago, returned home! Dave saw her about 5 am Wednesday, woke me, & I went out & called. She replied, a little skittish at first, but finally came into view (it was pitch dark so all I saw was her white tuxedo chest). Since she was emaciated & thirsty, Dave had her at vets office when they opened. With IV saline & nutrients, antibiotics, & blood work, she stayed there almost 4 days. Most importantly to get hydrated because there were no obvious injuries or fleas. She gained some weight too, and is now a little over 5 lbs. We figure she got locked up somewhere & had no food or water for 3 1/2 weeks. She came home yesterday & all she wants is food & lotsa loving. Everyone is happy except Riley - he was king of the roost until his sis came back. So - miracles do happen!
