Its a rare occasion that I will actually watch footage of domestic violence but when I have its because I overhear men trying to justify the actions of the man accused of hitting the woman. In the case of Jay-Z, He stood there. He deflect blows but he did not return the attack. Kudos for him! Theres no way his physical response would have been equitable to whatever hits and slaps Solange was throwing at him. In the case of Ray Rice, I dont give two shits if she hit or slapped him, he could have (1) walked away; (2) not gotten in the elevator with her, or (3) called the police on her for assault and battery. He was wrong and there is no justifying a paid warrior hitting a woman, nor justifying how she deserved a punch that literally knocked her off her feet and rendered her unconscious. For those who feel his actions were an appropriate response to hers, then all I can say is you have some serious problems and dont come within 50 feet of me! But have a look for yourself and you decide:
