Its a sad moment when a person held in high esteem by the general - TopicsExpress

Its a sad moment when a person held in high esteem by the general community of all races is treated like a low class person. Abused because she is obese as a result of diabetes and is getting around on a gopher and has the onset of visual disability and a recent stroke by a staff member at the premises who had told her and her friend that she was the manager when in fact she wasnt, and denied such things were said. This lady was called a witch amongst other things by the staff member concerned. The background of this lady is, she was the first Aboriginal woman to enlist in the RAN, chairperson of the Indigenous Military Memorial here in Adelaide that was recently unveiled, was a friend of the former Governor of SA. Championed the cause in SA for Indigenous Women and on countless boards and advisory boards etc relating to Indigenous people of SA for which this lady was awarded the AOM recently. For this lady to be treated in such a way is not only sickening & unlawful not only to myself and the Aboriginal community but to Australians who feel the same way I do. Ladies & Gentlemen, the lady who was the victim of this unwarranted abuse and treatment is......... My Sister A sad day for us all.
