Its a sad truth, but very real. I think one reason people dont step up when they see a man being abused, is that they are under the assumption that the man can/will defend himself if he is getting hurt, physically or emotionally...but it isnt that way most of the time. It is a stereotype. The belief that no woman could really hurt a man. I have seen it done, and I had to say something..in a very strong way, to get the abused man to leave the situation. Violence, physical or emotional does not belong in a relationship. If you see/hear it, you should try to stop it.
