WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT VALUE TO TEACH YOUR CHILD, NOW THAT THEY ARE ON HOLIDAY? What values or heritage do you wish to pass on to your children that you don’t expect them to get from school? We all want our children to possess certain values and good qualities and do our best to teach them these values right from an early age. We must remember though that children learn from what they see and not from what they hear. If we all want our children to be good human beings we should begin to act and behave like good upright citizens so that our children will follow our good examples. Set an Example: It is not enough if you love your children and quarrel with your spouse in front of them. Treating your spouse with love and affection goes a long way in imprinting values of family life. Many children are affected by divorce and deep wound it causes never heels with time. Never indulge in quarrelling with your spouse before them. 2. Give opportunities for your children to express their views When you invite your friends and relatives, never scold your children in front of them, and allow them to express their views on any matter concerning children 3. Take them to parks, restaurants whenever possible Important to take them to parks and allow them to play with you. Also take them to restaurants whenever possible. These small things will be remembered by them even when they grow old 4. Show Faith in God before them Every School may teach them about GOD, but you should set an example of showing your faith on GOD. Take them to your temple/ Mosque/ Churches make them to listen to discourses. 5. Show respect to elders, woman. Showing respect to elders and woman goes a long way in teaching them the heritage of your country 6. Respect National Flag, National Leaders Never talk ill of National leaders in front of your children Never show disrespect to your country’s national flag 7. Practice what you preach Always show by your action and practice what you preach them. 8 Train them in sports activities and other activities Put them in sports activities and in whatever field they show interest. And if they show interest in music and dance join them in such classes 9. Never lie before them. This is most important one. Never lie before them, and always be straight forward in every thing you do. There are many more, but i have covered major values here.
