Its a strange feeling having ones friends and even family pull away from us in our hour of need. I realize that people dont know what to say. I know Hallmark doesnt make cards that address the loss and pain endured after a rape. I know the old catch phrases of God never gives you more than you can handle or our personal favorite I know how you feel just dont seem appropriate. But avoiding us or worse, shunning us has been so hurtful. We are trying to reclaim our lives. We need life to return to normal. Continue the prayers. Dont rob us of your friendship too. Weve lost too much already.
