Its a very quiet Saturday. When the school bell rang Thursday ever teachers car in Al Gharbia was on the road to the Abu Dhabi airport. I am one of the lone souls who stayed behind. Taking note of that I will share a few updates with you. This week I was pretty sick. I mean it is bad when you have to text people at work to come take you to the hospital because you cant keep any food down. Then you loose even the water you drank on the short trip to the hospital having your colleague pull over 3 times so you can throw up in the sand. Being old school I did go to school the last day because all teachers in the USA know you always work the last day before the break or risk maybe not being paid. While at school all the arabic teachers were besides themselves over me being sick. When they heard what hospital I was taken to they told me to never go to it again because when you go to that hospital you come out dead. I was given multiple phone numbers to call if I am sick again. My AMT colleagues told me they would take me straight to Abu Dhabi. I dont know. Seriously if I do get this sick again I may take a week off and fly back to the USA to see my regular doctor. The hospital where you come out dead at -- I can see why the arabic teachers would say that. Even the nurse in the hospital told me not to eat the food there. When the doctor said he wanted to keep me over night I looked around the dingy room and told him that wasnt happening. In my mind if I was going to die I wasnt dying there. Obviously I am doing much better tonight. I am hoping to have the enegy to swim a leisurely km tomorrow instead of my regular two. That is my health update.
