Its actually a politically wise move to push for economic liberalism by keeping the mascot of Ambedkar in the front. I have noticed that there is little or no resistance offered by socialists and Sanghis alike when I appreciate Chandra Bhan Prasads initiative called Dalit Capitalism. After all, who can afford to invite the accusation of being a casteist by targeting a member of the Scheduled Castes? Practically, market blockades hurt the downtrodden the most. So I can rationalise Prasads angst. Shops, medium and large industries are largely run by the traders caste in India (only cottage industry and traditional crafts arent). Dalits naturally see no chance of their upward mobility in this cartelised scenario.
