Its all a money making racket! I talked to a man that works for the EPA a few years ago. He told me that not one new septic tank installed would actually pass an inspection. A few years ago, my sons friend had a new septic placed in the front of his house. The stench in the summer time is horrible. Better off with the old fashion leach bed......human feces is fertilizer to the soil.....what was wrong with the old style? Didnt have inspections every 6 months or have to pay for maintenance.......The whole idea is wrong!
