Its all coming together at Pinehurst The comprehensive infrastructure at Garden Cities’ suburb Pinehurst has reached an advanced stage with the retail centre completed and trading, together with the provision of other major community based elements. Pinehurst, the company’s groundbreaking northern areas flagship has, in its 13 years of development on land overlooking the Durbanville Hills and the Simonsberg, proved immensely popular with buyers from the surrounding areas and further afield. Aside from the beautifully designed and built houses, families are attracted by the broad, landscaped boulevards, open spaces, profuse vegetation, and a high level of luxury at affordable prices. SHOPPING CENTRE The 6 868m2 retail hub, Pinehurst Convenience Centre is now successfully trading on the corner of Brackenfell Boulevard and Pinehurst Drive. Tenants include Pick n Pay and Pick n Pay Liquor, Clicks, Food Lovers Market, PostLink, Crazy Store, Tosca Hair, Absolute Pets, Laundry and Dry Cleaner, Joubert and Monty, as well as Nedbank and standard Bank ATMs. The new Meridian School has been open for a year, and other additions include a service station to be built this year, and a domestic storage facility. ASHWORTH The third village in a group that serves the need for quality homes around R1 million, Ashworth, has been delayed, with sales starting early in 2015. A waiting list has been opened to accommodate interested buyers. Ashworths predecessors Albury and Amberfield sold out in record time and the new village will be along the same lines as the previous two and will consist of 39 two and three bedroom houses. The modern Victorian houses are, in keeping with the theme of these villages, served by open spaces planted with a variety of trees including stinkwood, Cape ash, ficus Natalensis and olives. At Oakwood which has been in development since 2008, only 100 of the total 660 houses remain to be sold, and demand exceeds supply at each stage of the village construction programme. A waiting list has been opened here too. ROCHEFORT Pinehurst’s prime over-50s village, Rochefort will shortly be launched off a waiting list, following enormous interest from potential buyers keen to enjoy the excellent facilities it offers. The 143 units are in an enclave with a high level of security that includes a double entrance portal with gates and a boom. The entrance will be manned and a roaming guard always on duty. Each home has a built-in alarm that will be responded to both by the roaming guard and outside security company. Conveniences of the village include a clubhouse and a dedicated path from the village gate to the new retail centre, the Pinehurst Convenience Centre
