Its always hard to admit the truth, but only honesty with ourselves and with each other will allow us to move forward on the right path. Im personally sick of the direction our country is going. And the sad truth is that there is no one I feel that I can vote for that will actually make a difference. The company counts as an individual with individual rights, our government cant shut down food industries that are making our people sick, special interest groups can bribe their way into making any politician dance like a puppet, and we prevent our kids from striving for greatness because it might make some other child feel like they arent as great. This country was founded by great men, men that stood above the rest. Men that understood that the moral high ground and doing whats right for the PEOPLE and the country were the more important priorities. We fought the hard battles of equal rights, equal pay, and we changed the world. But our current generation is more concerned with their facebook page and what people think than about doing whats right and driving our country to being the best country on the planet. I want people to realize that we can still be a great, we just need to focus on whats important and adjust our course. Unfortunately I dont see that happening until there are some major changes in Washington. And thats not one political party or another, and thats not one president or another. Its the current laws that allow the bad behavior. We need our politicians to recognize that there is a problem and kick the special interest groups out the door. Stop worrying about the next election and start worrying about how we can make our country great again. Just my two cents...
