Its always interesting to hear how people jump to the conclusions that were divided on caste and we have no councillors/MPs.These are red herrings. We are where we are simply because we do not hold polititians accountable for their actions. It really doesnt matter what shade the polititian is but if you wrote to them, went to their surguries, went to ward meeting and expressed your views the polititian (of which ever shade) would begin to listen. If you beleive that you need a polititian of your shade to get anywhere then you are going down a route where polititians are there to represent their own kind, ie sectarian politics. I write to my MP, my ward councillors, and hold them accountable, question them.. I follow what they do in my name. So dont blame the hard working volunteer run leaders of our samajs and temples. Look in the mirror and blame yourselves for your own in-actions.
