Its always sad when someone that was a part of your local community is taken from that community. Wee Gus was certainly a well known character in the Dingwall community and further afield. I for one know that the world was a better place having had him in it. He was a friend of mine and a friend of many. He was witty, sarcastic and very opinionated. I for one feel privileged to have known him. Many of us must have stories about our dealings with him. Lets share those stories and have a laugh at them. Thats what Gus would like. Ill start. How many of you remember the music festival at Castle Leod. I did the bar and burgers at the festival. The bar and burgers at the festival where a huge success. Who was the burger chef. You got it wee Gus. Gordon Ramsay you didnt have a look in next to Gus screaming for more burgers and rolls. He must have cooked 2000 of them that weekend all in his kilt and Doc Martins and not a Black Bottle or Guinness in sight. Legends live forever.
