Its always so difficult to see bitterness when you are feeling it, yet so easy to see in other people. Bitterness truly is a poisonous root that grows deep if you allow it. Its poison will slowly seep out, attaching to the very blessings God has given you until it consumes the very joy we should be spreading daily and worse yet can even spill out onto other children of God poisoning them if we arent careful. The Bible says in Hebrews 12:15, See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. Daily we need to search our heart earnestly to identify these thorny, poisonous roots and pray for the person who is the source of the bitterness and allow God to do His work.
