Its an exciting time at Northwood Engine Company 2 as five of our probationary members begin their training at the fire academy! Not only are they trained and tested on all things fire suppression, but they are also tested on dedication and commitment to the ideals of the volunteer fire service. When attending school probationary members go to school often after their work day and in many cases go on weekends also. They still attend meetings and drills when the schedules dont conflict and in addition to all this they also attempt to balance a family life. It is one of the most trying time management times in a persons FD experience. We wish them all good luck and hope we never have to put them to use at your homes!
