Its been 1 year, its been 1 year with out your soft nicker at dinner time, your excited neigh when we use to run around in the paddock playing, your love of carrots and apples, your head tosses when you got excited at dinner time or your yawns like Mr Ed to make me laugh when I was sad, Its been 1 year with out you by my side, 1 whole year with out you and it hasnt made it any easier. I find myself looking at other horses and trying to find you in them, Ive had 3 horses since you have gone and I think I have found the one you have been trying to get to me in the end. He is special, there is something about him that connects me to him like it did with you and I, Im glad you sent me Leo as he is they only thing I look forward to every day. He is nothing like you but every now and then I see you in him. He brings out the best in me and makes me laugh and he knows what his job is to do and I have a feeling that he will be around for a long time. I told myself after you died that I would never get a young horse but seeing Leo on the Dogger page I knew that I had to get him, some people thought I was crazy getting an unhandled 18month old gelding, but there were people there to help me every step of the way and they still are. I believe you sent Duke to me as well as Bobby for me to direct them to new homes, so that is what I have done, Duke has gone to a beautiful home where he will be understood and heard, out with Warren from Signature Equine Transport, and Bobby left yesterday to go to a lovely home with a man named Tom and his Daughter who will use him for trail ridding as well as a bit of jumping and dressage. These people will bring out the best in them as Leo is bringing out the best in me. I have learnt so much from each of my horses that have past through my life. Duke taught me Softness and Kindness, while Bobby taught me Trust and Love and now Leo is teaching me Firmness but Softness at the same time as well as the New Adventures that unfold. I was very lucky to have these horses in my life, and it was all because of you and if it wasnt for you deciding when your time was up I wouldnt of got the chance to meet Duke, Bobby or my partner in crime Leo. I will always love you and no horse could ever replace you but they can stand by your side, as you guide them through their life. I miss you every second, minute of every hour of the day Lazer. you will never be forgotten, by me or anyone who had the pleasure of meeting you, You left a hoof print in our hearts.
