Its been 20 years to this day that I lost my best friend, that many others lost a dear friend, and his family lost a son and brother. He passed away days later but this day is forever engrained in my brain! Remember it like it was last week. His passing affected so many people, ended friendships, and changed peoples lives! Its amazing how the loss of one person can affect so many. Thought about him all day today at work and having difficulty right now. Somebody told me 10 years ago that losing a best friend is nowhere near losing a brother! I disagree, because although he wasnt blood, he was my brother! I miss him terribly still! The Cook family is in my thoughts this time of year and always.
