Its been 3 weeks since moving. I wont lie, its been hard being away from my family. I know this is a part of everyones life at some point, its just still sinking in that Im not able to just drive around the corner or across town to see with them. I never was able to really put into words how much I appreciate everything my family has done for me up to this point. My sister and brother always talk to me whenever I need them or reach out to them for advice, regardless of the time of day or how long itd been since we last talked. We werent always around each other physically, but I know theyll always be my big brother and sister. My parents always did, and continue to do, everything they could to make sure I have what I need. My dad is the kind of father that will always be there, however he can. Whether it was him showing up randomly without warning to rehearsal sites in the middle of nowhere over the summer (which happened a lot, and hed walk on the field and wander around while we rehearsed, which made me and the drumline laugh), or him just simply being my cheer team from afar. His support in every way has never gone unnoticed. I cant thank him enough for always helping me do what I loved. All the music in my life is thanks to you. He has been a constant role model in my life for what it means to have a drive and passion to support those you love. My mother is and always has been the most selfless woman Ive ever known. Shell gladly help me out with anything I need, and then give me even more than I asked for (like surprising me with a little care package full of goodies and a sweet card from home, when all I asked was for her to send me my glasses). Shes always making sure that Im taken care of. The countless times shes dropped everything she was doing to help me out always leaves me full of appreciation and a desire to be like her. I know I can always go to her and shell support all my decisions. She has been a tremendous role model in my life for what it means to love someone unconditionally. Thanks for everything.
