Its been a long day and I finally got Dan to sleep so now is a good time for me to reflect. I didnt think I could give Dan shots of the blood thinner that he will need to be on but Im doing it. I think it pains me more because I have to pinch his bruised belly to give it but it has to be done twice a day. We have one full day in of taking the many medications hell have to be on forever and I think I have that down as well. So we left home this morning for Johns Hopkins to consult with Dr. Patrick Forde (side note...from Ireland, love his brogue). There are two different clinical trials that he is eligible for, however, he has to have radiation treatment on his brain before they can administer either one. We have a consult tomorrow with a radiation oncologist at Pinnacle Health. Hopefully, he will be able to do this soon. If, however, he feels that it would require a more specialized radiation treatment, then well have that done at Johns Hopkins. One week ago, we had no hope. Today, we have been given a chance. I cant thank everyone enough for your love, support and prayers through the past 12 days. I keep telling Dan that he is loved and many people who we dont even know are praying for us....from many different denominations.... and God is hearing those prayers and He has put the right people in our path that gives us the tools and the strength to fight this battle. He is an amazing God and I thank Him every day for giving me one more day with my best friend! ♡♡♡
