Its been a long time since I bought a magazine but decided to treat myself yesterday. Not knowing what the popular mags are these days but knowing that I dont want to hear what the likes of Kim kardashiwhatsername is doing or read about someone who woke up with three heads I found one that looked ok. It had a recipe for a Mary Berry chocolate roulade ( I dont bake, but who knows in the future) and a picture of Strictly on the front so I parted with my 96p. I sat down with a brew and started reading. There was a story about a woman whos budgies pood on her curtain, one who wants Shirley bassey on all musical hold, a short story about a stalker trying to run over an old lady, a wife planning to kill her husband and one about a husband trying to kill his wife. Tips on putting celery in with your bread to stop it going stale, using a kitchen roll tube to keep loom bands tidy and adverts for incontinence pants, bunion supports,knee joint warmers, walking stick ice grips and stretch waistband trousers so I gave up and put some washing in instead and when I came back the puppy had eaten the Mary Berry recipe......:(
