Its been a long two years of silence, anger, grief, pain, uncertainty, heartbreak, anxiety, and frustration. I never thought it would be such a fight to become a family, such a struggle to become the one thing in this world Ive known Ive wanted to be all my life: a mother. We *have been* parents, but not in the way we intended. In May 2013, we lost our first baby. In December 2013, we lost our second. Since then, there have been blood tests, invasive procedures, one surgery, medications, monitoring, and a lot of hoping that—someday—we would become parents to a healthy, living child. Thanks to modern medicine and technology, the care and diligence of an amazing nursing staff, and quite the skilled specialist, we are finally able to share good news... Baby Keenan is due early next spring. Fingers crossed for a continued healthy pregnancy and a sweet healthy baby at the end of it all. ☺️
