Its been a rough couple of days.. Historians remember time in decades..Today marks a decade without my brother Christopher.. As I sip my coffee on the deck where grew up.. I have thousands of flashbacks..l can see Christopher in the old pool, playing Marco Polo..or throwing the ball with my dad and brothers..I can see where they shot their bows and arrows. The red shed that housed their bikes and hockey sticks..Where we raked leaves on a cold September day like this one..Where we made snow forts..and looked for four leaf clovers..I remember so many family dinners in the kitchen..and the old ironing board in the hallway, getting ready for church..I remember all of our Christmass here..And Easter Baskets..Chriss favorite was white chocolate and my mothers short bread..I remember hearing the front door slam..Van Halen blaring from the bed room..My dads whistle calling us home..Christopher practicing his saxophone..Hearing the boys giggle over Chriss comic strip he wrote..I remember how moody he was as a teenager..wearing his black leather jacket..I feared my brothers would always think I was annoying.. sometimes living in this house makes me very sad..there are so many memories here..I could never sum up the pain I have felt over the last ten years..Or all the joy Ive had since hes been gone..I tell myself he hasnt missed any of it..he has been the fragrance from my mothers roses..he has fueled the giggles that continue to echo in these halls..he is music that I hear when Ian sings in the shower..he is the smell of Apple Pie I bake..he is the wind that makes the chimes twinkle..He is here.. I have to believe that God left just a little bit of him behind..thats the only way I can go on..I love and miss you Christopher Lee more you could have ever imagined..
