Its been a special and rewarding time for our Foundation here in Mongolia, especially for our ger village children, who after much anticipation welcomed students from the Chinese International School into their home. Each year the Chinese International School arranges a trip to visit our operations in Mongolia and Vietnam as part of their annual Project Week. This year we were lucky enough to receive two groups, who split their time between activities like horse riding and trekking in the countryside and also visiting our Foundations projects. Prior to their trip the students not only thoughtfully prepared some very special gifts and performances(!) for our children but they also managed to raise enough funds to donate two gers to families desperately in need of a home. (Heart-warming updates coming soon!) It has been a truly special visit and one that will leave long-lasting memories in the minds of our staff, the children and the two families whose lives have been changed forever as a result of their care. Well post more videos and images of the students time in Mongolia over the next week, but for now enjoy this great little video of everyone coming together through dance during one of our regular classes at the Blue Skies Ger Village. :) It was a high energy lesson and everyone (including the very rhythmic CIS teachers!) managed to keep up. There were lots of focused and happy faces all round! A huge Thank You to all of the incredible teachers and students at CIS for bringing such uplifting energy, kindness and love to our Foundation and to all of our beautiful young people here in Mongolia. We hope to always stay friends and see at least some of you again next year!
