Its been a while since I last posted, and it may be a little while before I have anything new to share here. A month ago, the flat my husband and I rented burned, destroying a lot of our possessions, besides taking away what we considered home. In spite of this, we were incredibly lucky as no one were hurt, and most of our losses are covered by the insurance. Weve had massive support from family and friends whove all helped in different ways to get us back on our feet. Now, a month later, we are starting to get a certain level of normalcy back in our lives, and we focus on moving forwards and looking to the future rather than dwell on the losses of the past. Although we managed to save a surprising amount of things that were important to us, some things were not salvageable, amongst them, my Taylor guitar, and Balin, my 3/4 Cort guitar. The heat and flames had warped the wood and the insides were covered with sooth and debris. I got them both covered by the insurance, so I have already bought an upgraded replacement for the 3/4 Cort (one with inbuilt tuner and a pickup), and when we have our own place again (were currently living with some friends), Ill be getting a new Taylor. My little Guitalele and my fiddle survived, however, so theres a comfort in that! :)
