Its been forever since Ive posted. Audrey finished radiation and the fourth round of GD2NK. The schedule was rough but Audrey handled the treatment well. We would leave our room around 6:30 am and wouldnt return until around 10:30 pm! My mom, aunt and big girl came up the day Audrey finished the 4th round to help while I did the NK cell donation again. It is so wonderful to have family visit. Being up here isnt bad. In fact, when Audreys doing well, we have a good time together. But, when we get visitors I realize that I had shut something off to cope with being away. Its nice to open the flood gates of family/love. Again, this chemo seemed to work miracles without causing her counts to drop or the need of transfusions. And if that wasnt good enough Audrey had to get multiple scans, tattoos, and paint on her leg during radiation treatment bc her leg kept shrinking and they were having a hard time lining her up each day! Woot Woot! Audrey is so awesome, she was able to do a photo shoot in between radiation and chemo one day. She impressed everyone! You never wouldve guessed that she had just come out of sedation. The photo shoot was for Halloween. She dressed up as an ELEPHANT and was able to keep the costume. If you know me, you know I love elephants! I cant wait to see the pics! We were able to go home this last weekend and its always wonderful. I was able to see my big girl being recognized at a pep rally for her participation in Girls on the Run. She also was able to present a St. Jude rep with books that her school donated to the hospital. Unfortunately, one of her friends (another third grader) has a sister who is also getting treatment at St. Judes. The school raised over $2000 for St. Jude. It was amazing being there and watching! I was so proud. While we were home, Audrey became sick. She wouldnt stop throwing up. I think it was a stomach bug. Either way, it made her electrolytes go completely out of whack and we were once again admitted. Thankfully, we were released the next day. Tomorrow Audrey has scans to prove to everyone that God does things that man cant explain. Cant wait to share the good news!
