Its been three weeks since my surgery, and my recovery continues fairly well. Ive eased back into a work routine. I have also received the results of the pathology report from the surgery: no surprises, doctors are pleased; the report confirmed the microscopic cancer in the mass removed and showed microscopic cancer in 1 of 3 lymph nodes removed, but the cancer was contained in the removed sample. I return to MD Anderson mid-November for scans to monitor spots on my bones and the area of surgery, and to discuss the next stage of treatment. Thanks again for all your prayers.
