Its been way too long. My latest toy! Ive been missing my wireless mic, but didnt want to spend the $1200 for a decent one or $2000 for a quality one. I tried a new player in the mic game, Line 6! Not known for mics, Line 6 basically did the equivalent of the Walk off Homer in the 9th with 2 out facing Mariano. 1st, this things digital so no crumby VF signal clarity like on the low and mid range wireless systems. Thar was a key issue with my old Shure PGX receiver. The signal is clear and no dropouts. 2nd this thing utilizes the strength of digital technology. It has MODES that reproduce the sound quality of 10 of the most common mics, from the Shure SM57 and SM58 to more robust Sennheiser e835 and 935s to AKG D5 and Audix OM5. I cant say enough about it!! The modeling is unreal. I can switch on the fly with a couple clicks and get rich lows or back to standard mid range tones. Its more than just EQ, its SPL and sensitivity. This is truly the next big thing, Im Psyched to use it at my next show! If the garage testing is any indication, this is going to be off the hook! line6/xd-v75/
