Its clear to me why Mr. Salmond wont discuss plan B on the currency issue. If he lets plan B out of the bag then the Uk govt will just continue to stick to the no currency union line. This will put Scotlands future as an independent country at jeopardy because it will weaken the Scottish govts negotiation powers if we vote Yes. Therefore if A.salmond sticks to his guns and we get a Yes vote that improves Scotlands negotiation powers. A. Salmond is not doing this to piss us all off, their would be no sense in that. He is trying to improve the negotiation powers we need following a yes vote in sept. We all know that if the people of Scotland vote yes then the UK govt will come running to accept a currency union, because they need our oil wealth and energy (natural resources) to balance the books more than we need that bastard pound sterling. Alastair Darling also wants the upper hand during the negotiation period and this is why he is pressing Mr.Salmond so hard on the matter. Political posturing/bluffing.
