Its common knowledge that babies put things in their mouths when we are not looking. They eat anything from worms to snails. They eat mud, ash, baby powder, vaseline, baby oil, hair spray nozzle yes I said hair spray nozzle. They eat lipstick, at times they eat our eye-liners, their old time fav CRAYONS. Its amazing how any of these never put them in hospital, its amazing how they are never harmless to these little explorers. But here is activity that always grab my attention and have me fascinated without fail. BATH TIME. I always ask myself whats in the bath water, they splish, they splash, make bubbles, spill every where but they never and I mean EVER forget to drink their bath water, so I ask. What in gods pyjamas is in that water? No baby takes their bath without drinking that water. I know I struggled to put my little one off the thought by giving her lot of bath toys but somehow they never provide the distruction am hoping for. Instead they are introduced to drinking the water and now I am left to emptying them all after each bath. Is your little drinking their bath water too? Paedetricians assures worrying mothers that it is really not a call for concern unless the taps are in an old building. They may be rusty and carry a lot of harmful rust. For babies who like to drink from the tap maybe seriously affected by water from these taps. Otherwise the bath water is unlikely to harm your baby because they rarely swallow, they always drink-to-spit. The worst that could happen is an upset tummy due to this water intake but it goes away without ending up in ER. So make sure you keep that wash cloth away from those hands babycenter/404_is-it-normal-for-my-baby-to-drink-bathwater_3652421.bc
